This film tells the true story of Antonia Zabinski and her husband, Dr. Jan Zabinski. It is 1939, and the Warsaw Zoo flourishes under Jan’s stewardship and Antonia’s care. When their country is invaded by Nazis, the Zabinskis covertly begin working with the Resistance to rescue hundreds of Polish Jews from the Germans by hiding them.
